The process for the Cause for Canonization began on March 24, 2009 in Rome when the documents were delivered by the Archdiocese of Lima to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints by Sister Rosalina Bolanos del Solar, Dominican missionary of the Rosary who was nominated by His Eminence Cardinal Juan Luis Cipriani Thorne, Archbishop of Lima.
Since then, the Congregation has been studying the life, virtues and fame of the sanctity of Fr. Jose Alvarez. After this process, he was named Venerable by eight theologians and the Promotor of the Faith.
For the Beatification, we pray to God that a miracle performed by the intercession of Fr. Jose be proven so that a new process can be initiated for Beatification.
We pray that God grant us soon this Beatification and that He aid us, through the intercession of Fr. Jose and our needs and of those who turn to Fr. Jose for his intercession. May God grant us soon the joy seeing Fr. Jose Alvarez in the shrines.
APAKTONE 
Mi padre tenia un cancer mortal y la familia pidio a APAKTONE un milagro. Este se dio y el cancer de mi papa desaparecio. El medico que vio a mi padrer quedo sorprendido con lo ocurrido. Ademas, mi papa no era creyente y en muy poco tiempo se dio una gran conversion en su vida. Murio en paz de otra causa y confio que Dios lo guarda junto a nuestro amigo APAKTONE. Hoy pido a Dios por medio de su siervo APAKTONE y para la causa de su beatificacion EL MILAGRO de sacar del Autismo a mi hijo de 6 años. Confio en ti Señor y si es tu voluntad asi sera. Esta vez seria mucho mas simple probar el milagro concedido pues es claro que mi hijo esta dentro del espectro autista. Alejandro Q.
