My most dear family in Christ and friends of the “Apaktone”:
This present letter is to wish you and your loved ones, a MERRY CHRISTMAS on behalf of all those at the Secretariat Apaktone that leads the cause for canonization of the great missionary, Fr. Jose Alvarez Fernandez, O.P.
We know well your love and admiration for the work of this humble servant and missionary of the Peruvian Amazon, as well as your efforts in collaboration with the Cause for Canonization. We pray to our Lord that He grant abundant graces and blessings to your homes and families. May the Infant Jesus fill you with joy! Our wish extends as well for many blessings of happiness and prosperity in the new year.
The Apaktone spent many a Christmas in the loneliness of the jungles, unable to offer the children in the mission house so much as a candy or Christmas treat. His only gift was his loving presence, and a life of sacrifice and heroic action, offered to the Infant Jesus.
It is therefore most important that if you receive a special grace by the intercession of the Apaktone, to please let us know via letter, or through this website. It is very important for the works of the Cause. Remember to offer your friends the Apaktone’s prayer card so that he may intercede on their behalf.
