Today December 7, 2012, Feast of Saint Ambrose, marks the official launch of http://www.apaktone.com dedicated to promoting in the english language, the cause for the canonization of Fr. Jose Alvarez Fernandez O.P. Following the efforts by the cause in Lima Peru, this site will provide english translations of quarterly publications, news, and witness of the faithful who pray for the canonization of the “elderly father”, the Apaktone.
In these initial pages, you will learn who Fr. Jose was, his missionary work in the Peruvian Amazon, and his devotion to evangelizing in one of the most remote parts of the world. His life, exemplifies the mission given to us by our Lord to “make disciples of all nations”.
